HOW DO I GET TO LILI’UOKALANI BOTANICAL GARDENS
BY CAR – From Waikiki – Take Kapahulu Avenue and I-H-1W to Nuuanu Avenue (6.l miles/nineteen minutes)
BY BUS – From Waikiki – At Kuhio Avenue catch The Bus #2 towards School Street – Kalihi Transit Centre. Alight at School Street and Liliha Street. Walk approximately 0.7 miles/thirteen minutes to Nuuanu Avenue and Kuakini Street (Fifty two minutes).
BRIEF HISTORY OF LILI’UOKALANI BOTANICAL GARDENS
Lili’uokalani Botanical Gardens is a 7.5 acre park given to the City and County of Honolulu by Queen Lili’uokalani who was the last reigning monarch of Hawaii. It is a developing garden featuring native hawaiian plants, the Nu’uanu Stream and the Waikahalulu Waterfall.
