Formerly known as Waimea Valley Adventure Park Audobon Gardens is situated at 59-864 Kamehemeha Highway, Haleiwa and around thirty six miles from Waikiki.

The centre is open daily from 9am to 5pm (except on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day).

Entry fee is around $15 per person or $10 for children, seniors, military and residents of Hawaii.

These gardens are thought to hold the richest treasury of pre-contact Hawaiian artefacts  on Oahu.

The centre encourages self guided walks through this world class botanical garden featuring forty one well defined zones and five thousand different types of plants from all over the world.

Take a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the waterfall or use the shuttle.  Swimming is permitted under the waterfall, the wearing of life jackets is mandatory and lifeguards are on duty.  Drinking the water in the pool at the waterfall is not recommended.

Audobon Gardens has a non smoking policy.

It is recommended that you bring with you the following – closed walking shoes, insect repellant, sun block, and swimming attire.

A snack bar and restrooms are available.

Audobon Gardens also offer cultural tours, educational programmes, cultural events, ongoing conservation, volunteer opportunities, special event planning, facility rentals, online gift store, shopping, moonwalk schedule, plant sales and workshops.
