PALA’AU STATE PARK – MOLOKAI
Pala’au State Park – Molokai is situated 3 miles (4.8km) north of the township of Kualapu’u at the end of Kalae Highway.
The park covers 233.7 acres is open daily and free to enter.
There are restrooms available, camping is permited (you will have to obtain a permit go to www.hawaiistateparks.org/camping/fees.cfm for more information). Cost per campsite per night is $5.00. Garbage bins are provided but NO DRINKING WATER IS AVAILABLE.
Easy short walks to either the scenic lookout over the Kalaupapa Pensinsula or the trail to Phallic Rock are well worth the effort.
The molokai mule ride also starts at the car park.
