Lahaina was the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii from 1820 to 1845 and a bustling whaling town from 1825 to 1860



Lahaina is situated on the west coast of Maui around 23.3 miles (45 minutes) southwest of Kahului

For beginners and intermediates go to Puamana Beach County Park or Lahaina Harbor.  More experienced surfers should try their luck up the road at Ka’anapali Beach.



Lahaina has an abundance of restaurants, art galleries, boutiques and Hawaiian craft vendors.

On the 2nd Friday night of the month you will find yourself at the Friday Town Party which stretches along Front Street, starting at 6pm through to 9pm.

Local boutiques, galleries and giftshops hold small parties, there are food vendors, live music and performers
